About Me

HI , My name is Dr. Niharika Saini (she/her) and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC # 22693) with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and registered as Clinical Psychologist with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). I work with adults experiencing a range of issues including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, perfectionism, and eating disorders. For over nine years, I have worked with people from many backgrounds and stages of life who have experienced challenges such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, eating disorders, relationships, personality disorder, substance use, child psychiatric and behavioral problems, marital issues, and family or relationship issues, perfectionism and self-worth, shame, grief and loss, life transitions, caregiver burnout and vicarious trauma, and identity. I use direct observation, interviews and techniques such as psychometric testing to make an assessment of client’s problem. My work with individuals is rooted in a trauma-informed, strengths-based, humanistic, and relational framework. I deliver psycho therapy like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy, Marital / Couple Therapy, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET). I am certified in Hypnotherapy and Past Life Regression Therapy (PLRT). I also train practitioners and other supervising staff, undertake research. I also liaise with members of community mental healthcare teams and other agencies such as the social services. My approach is warm, supportive, ethical and non-judgmental. I establish respectful rapport, provide support and advocate individuals by managing hostile interactions, utilizing non-violent communication and diffusing techniques. Furthermore, I possess excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills, making me a good fit for your vibrant work culture.
