About Me

I hold a holistic view to mind body wellness, and support individuals to address root causes of illness by exploring how trauma is stored within the body, and how to access and release it in a way that is safe, supportive, and empowering for the individual. I use a strengths based and person centred approach that feels safe and empowering for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings. I have been working in the health care field for over ten years in acute care, mental health, and palliative care. I have seen the results of chronic trauma and lack of addressing health concerns until crisis occurs. The mind, body, and spirit are all connected, and if one area is out of balance, other areas will reflect this. I believe everyone has their own ability to heal and restore balance, as well as the wisdom to know what approach is best for them. My role is to listen and support, and hold space for that process to occur, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I have extensive experience supporting clients through grief and loss, life transitions, and burnout. I have worked extensively with women, men, and teens. I have an eclectic approach that utilizes narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, and cognitive behavioural therapy. I am also certified in Gottman Level one and work with couples. Because of my 1.5 decades of work as an RN, I have insight into medical conditions, medications, surgical recovery, etc. I am also a certified health coach, and have worked with many people to bring more overall health and balance. I am available for short term counselling using a more Solution Focused Approach, or longer term therapy, depending on what is needed and desired. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I look forward to meeting you.
